Ningxia East Thermal Power Plant Carried out DCS Control System Anti-accident Measure Drill
New year of 2018 is just around the corner. East Thermal Power Plant carried out DCS Control System Anti-accident Measure Drill in central control building of the plant, as per the stipulation of Production Safety Accident Emergency Plant Regulation by National Safety Production Supervision Bureau on December 29th.
The Drill Begins
At 9:30 in the morning, drill commander Liu Jicheng announced the begin of the drill. HSE manager and technical department I&C engineer introduced to the participants the requirements and details of the drill. The drill was focused on all the possible malfunction of DCS server during the monitoring. In that situation, the DCS server was restarted at first. When it didn’t work, the emergency addressing team decided to shut down the unit for the safety concern. The staff fixed the fault when the unit stalled and restarted the unit later.
On-table Maneuvers
During the whole drill process, all the management gave very clear instructions and all the engineers had accurate judgement and prompt reaction towards the malfunction. The procedures were well and strictly executed. The goal of the drill was reached. The operation and maintenance team’s DCS control system capability was enhanced and unit safe and stable operation was ensured for the future.
