East Plant carries out safety inspection before Spring Festival
Spring Festival is approaching, to ensure the safe and stable operation of units during the festival. From January 30th to 31st, a safety walk down and inspection was carried out in Ningxia East and West Thermal Power Plant. General Manager Mrs. Liang Wei, Deputy General Manager Ding Chang’an, Plant Director Stephen Haman, heads of departments and safety personnel participated.
Four special inspection teams took part in this activity. They went into the key area in the East and west plant. On the basis of routine inspection, the investigation was carried out on the hidden safety hazards such as equipment operation, fire fighting facilities, electricity safety, cold and frost prevention.
After two days of investigation, for major safety hazards were not found, but six items were point out, such as “no sign for use” at the end of fire water test in office buildings, and the bolts on the ground protruding. General Manager Liang Wei affirmed the grouping inspection mode, emphasized that the competence of managers should be strengthened, and the responsible persons should be point out, measurement should be taken to rectify the problems, for the time limit problems that cannot be rectified immediately should set finish time and corresponding safety precautions should be formulated. During the Spring Festival, drinking before shift is strictly prohibited, and on duty is strictly in accordance with the schedule to ensure safe production.
